About Uzm. Kl. Psk. Özge Devezer Uslu

In 2012, he became a founding member of the “Clinical and Forensic Psychology Association”. She was the coordinator of various trainings and seminars in the association.

She worked as a psychologist / psychotherapist in health institutions such as Private Fatih Hospital and Specialists Medical Center. She held sessions with clients suffering from various skin diseases at Fatih Hospital.
At the Specialists Medical Center she administered tests such as the MMPI, Beck Depression Scale, Beck Anxiety Scale, and Rorschach.
Along with adopting Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a therapy method, she also carried out eclectic studies. She held sessions with clients who came here with problems such as mood disorders, personality disorders, and anxiety disorders.

She worked in the field of child and adolescent psychotherapy at the Brain Project Center for Mind Development. Here she interviewed with child and adolescent clients about school anxiety, sibling jealousy, exam stress, self-confidence problems, bedwetting problems, and phobias.

She completed her Articulation and Speech Disorders education and started working with articulation disorders.

The psychotherapy approach when working with adults is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focused. In graduate education, both theoretically and practically,  she received CBT training and supervision from Asst. Assoc. Dr Ayşe Şahan. In addition, she uses eclectic therapy methods when necessary. She attended solution-focused psychotherapy method and psychodynamically oriented therapies trainings.

She also performs group therapies as well as individual therapies. Group therapies are mostly performed with patient groups such as Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).

Education

She graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Psychology Department in 2011.
She received her master's degree in Applied (Clinical) Psychology at Istanbul Bilim University between 2014-2017.

1- “Mindfulness-based group psychotherapy” – (2013)


The possible effect of mindfulness-based group psychotherapy under the umbrella of Clinical and Forensic Psychology on depressive symptoms of individuals has been examined. It was presented as a poster presentation at the Psychology Congress held in Cyprus in 2013.


2- “Colchicine Used in Familial Mediterranean Fever Disease
Effect on processes” / Clinical Psychology Master Thesis- İzmir 19th National Psychology Congress poster presentation (September, 2016)


The research purpose of my master's thesis was to investigate the effects of Familial Mediterranean Fever, a hereditary and chronic disease, and colchicine on patients' emotional and cognitive processes in parallel. In my thesis, I have carried out a study that has never been in the literature before, using various neuropsychological tests such as Rey-Osterrieth, Raven Progressive Matrices, and Stroop as measurement tools.

Its effect on the processes” Oral and poster presentation of the İzmir Health Quality of Life Congress (November, 2016)
His thesis was presented orally and as a poster presentation at the Life in Health Congress.


4- THU0574 DOES THE USE OF CHOLCHICINE EFFECT COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS IN FAMILIAL MEDITERRANEAN FEVER? PRELIMINARY STUDY. Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases (June, 2019).
It is a study that examines the cognitive effects of colchicine used in Fmf disease, conducted with the Rheumatology Department of Marmara University Training and Research Hospital.
