Prof. Dr. Dursun Aras

-He completed his specialization in Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital in 2001 and became a Cardiology Specialist and continued his duty in this hospital.
-He became Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2012.
In 2005, he was an observer in the field of Arrhythmia and Ablation at Maastricht University, Netherlands.
-He was the Chairman of the Arrhythmia Working Group of the Turkish Society of Cardiology between 2016-2018, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Arrhythmia Working Group between 2014-2016.
In 2021, he was elected as a Member of the Board of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and still continues in this position.
-In 2019, he continued his duty here after Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital was moved to Ankara City Hospital.
He has ablated thousands of patients with all types of arrhythmias.
-He performed the implantation of pacemakers in thousands of patients, including pacemakers, ICD (Shock pacemakers), and three-wire heart failure pacemakers.
-Having thousands of ablation experiences with normal and 3D mappings in the fields of Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), Atrial fibrillation, Ventricular Extra beats (VES) and Ventricular Tachycardia (VT), he has trained, organized courses, meetings and given certificates in these fields.
-Contributed to the training and training of Arrhythmia Specialists working in many Universities and Education-Research Hospitals in Turkey. He also accepted and trained many Arrhythmia specialists from abroad in his own center.
-He performed ventricular tachycardia ablation by thoracotomy (with surgical accompaniment) for the first time in Turkey with his own Arrhythmia Team, and for the first time performed ventricular tachycardia ablation by passing through the wall between the two ventricles (in high-risk patients with metal valves who had undergone cardiac surgery before)
-He performed Ventricular Tachycardia ablations with Radiotherapy for the first time in Turkey and as one of the few centers in the world (with radiation without entering the body and veins with radiation in patients for whom catheter ablation is unsuccessful or not possible)
- He has more than 300 published international articles, many national articles, domestic and foreign papers, and author of many book chapters in the field of arrhythmia.
- He was a member of many scientific boards and chaired sessions in National and International Cardiology and Arrhythmia congresses. He organized congresses, courses and symposiums. He has given numerous speeches and lectures on Arrhythmia and Ablation.

-Epicardial ablation (non-surgical ablation method without opening the chest wall from the outer side of the heart by entering the needle through the chest wall),
-Epicardial and endocardial ablation in ventricular tachycardias accompanied by thoracotomy (by opening a small window in the chest wall with surgery),
- Cardiac Pacemaker (Pacemakers), ICD (Shock batteries), biventricular pacemaker (Heart failure batteries) and biventricular ICD application, ICD shocks and programming
-Treatment of pacemaker infections and lead extraction (removal of pacemaker and cables)
Ablation with non-invasive radiotherapy in the treatment of ventricular tachycardias
-Treatment and cardioneural ablation in syncope patients
