About Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuncay Turgut
He became an Associate Professor in 2009 and was appointed as a Professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology in 2015.
In 2017, he conducted professional and academic studies on prostate cancer imaging (multiparametric MRI) and minimally invasive interventional treatment methods (HIFU) at University College London.

Studies in Professional Organizations:
- He was honored with the title of "Elected-Fellow" by ESUR in 2006.
- He is a member of the Prostate Cancer Study Group and Scrotal Imaging Working Group within the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR).
- He was appointed as the “Türkiye Representative” by the ESUR Board of Directors.
- He served as the "Delegate of Turkey" in the Radiology Department of the European Union of Medical Specialists (EUMS).
- Between 2011 and 2013, he served as the "General Secretary" in the Central Board of the Turkish Radiology Association. He also served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Ankara Branch of the Turkish Society of Radiology between 2005-2011, and the Chairman of the Ankara Branch between 2009-2011.
- Between 2009 and 2013, he was also the Chairman of the Urogenital System Imaging Working Group of the Turkish Society of Radiology.
- He was deemed worthy of “Honorary Membership” by Iran and Georgia Radiology Societies.

prof. Turgut has nearly 100 scientific articles published in international journals, most of which he is the first author; He has written a total of 58 book chapters, 51 of which are in international medical books.
He has presented a total of 120 papers in scientific congresses at home and abroad.
His scientific publications have been cited more than 800 times and the h index value is 16.
He edited three books upon the invitation of Springer Publishing. He worked as an assistant editor in the books "Genitourinary Radiology: Kidney, Bladder and Urethra" and "Genitourinary Radiology: Male Genital Tract, Adrenal and Retroperitoneum", which are among the main scientific resources in the field of urogenital radiology.
He was the President of the Congress of the 20th Annual Meeting (ESUR 2013) of the "European Society of Urogenital Radiology" held in 2013, and also assumed the duty of the Course Head in the Prostate Ultrasound and Biopsy Course held before this meeting.
Mostly on an international scale, European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR), European Society of Radiology (ESR), European Association of Urology (EAU), European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB), Society of Abdominal Radiology ( SAR), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), etc. He has contributed 98 times as an “invited speaker” in numerous scientific meetings organized by distinguished academic societies.
Due to his experience in Multiparametric Prostate MRI and Prostate Fusion Biopsy, he regularly takes part as a "trainer" in international and national courses and meetings on this subject.
