Prof. Dr. Sırmahan Çakarer

He worked at the Osnabrück Clinic affiliated to the University of Muenster in Germany. He gained experience in maxillofacial trauma and orthognathic surgery. 
In 2012, he was a clinical observer at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University, USA. He received the title of the same associate professor and received the title of professor in 2020. 

He received the title of Associate Professor in the same year. He has publications in national and international journals, posters and oral presentations in international congresses. He is still working as a lecturer at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 

He has been working as the secretary of the Turkish Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Association since 2014. His areas of interest are temporomandibular joint surgery, orthognathic surgery, treatment of pathological lesions in the jaw, implant applications.
